Poul M. Volther Woven Chairs

Poul M. Volther (1923-2001) belonged to a generation of architects with solid roots in the very best of craft.

He succeeded Børge Mogensen as artistic director of FDB Møbler in 1950.

Poul M. Volther loved the simple manufacture of fine materials.

Chair Number 361

Chair Number 361 was designed by Poul Volther and produced by Frem Rojle in Denmark.

 Manufactured in the 1960s.

Chair 361 initially used staples to fasten the Danish cord to the chair frame.

Caning Canada will remove the staples and install Danish hook nails when weaving these chairs.
